Welcome to the Foster Marketing Association (FMA), your destination for all things marketing at the Foster School of Business! 

At FMA, our mission is to be a dynamic club centered around three key themes: recruiting, networking, and exploration. With the student experience at the heart of everything we do, we have designed every event to cater to these pillars, ensuring that our members receives value and support in their marketing journey. 

  • Recruiting: We understand the importance of career advancement, which is why we host tailored events and workshops to equip our members with the skills and resources needed to excel in the competitive job market. From recruiting strategy sessions to casing prep, we are committed to empowering our members to put their best foot forward for marketing roles. 

  • Networking: Building meaningful connections is essential in the MBA program. Through our diverse array of networking events, including mixers, panels, and treks, we provide ample opportunities for our members to connect with industry leaders, alumni, and fellow marketers, fostering a supportive community that extends beyond the classroom. 

  • Exploration: The field of marketing is ever-evolving, and we believe in the power of exploration and innovation. That's why we have events and experiential learning opportunities that allow our members to explore emerging trends, technologies, and marketing strategies, empowering them to think creatively and adapt to the rapidly changing landscape.

The FMA Board strives to broaden your exposure to the themes and trends of marketing in the business world through the collaboration of our members, officers, faculty, alumni, and distinguished speakers. 


 
 

TAZEEN HASAN

As Co-president of the Foster Marketing Association (FMA), Tazeen brings over four years of experience in brand management across diverse industries, particularly in the Consumer-Packaged Goods (CPG) sector. With a focus on crafting effective go-to-market strategies and leveraging data-driven insights, Tazeen has contributed to brands such as Oreo at Mondelez and worked with companies like Unilever to develop impactful marketing strategies. 

Post MBA, Tazeen's ambition is to transition her marketing expertise to the intersection of marketing and technology, with a specific interest in product marketing. In her role as Co-president of FMA, Tazeen is dedicated to facilitating valuable connections, offering resources, and fostering opportunities for members to gain insight and excel in the realm of marketing.

 
 

MADISON MEREDITH

Madison brings four years of experience in sales management and brand marketing within the beverage/alcohol industry to her FMA co-presidency role. Following Foster, Madison plans to pivot towards product marketing roles within the tech industry. As co-president of FMA, her primary objective is to enhance recruitment resources, offer opportunities for networking and create an environment conducive to growth and opportunity in the marketing industry for UW MBA students.

MEHAK SANDHU 

VP of Communications

As the VP of Communications for the Foster Marketing Association (FMA), Mehak leverages over four years of extensive experience across the retail, consumer goods, and technology sectors. Beginning her career as a designer, she transitioned to a product strategist role at Hero MotoCorp, India's leading motorcycle company. Here, she significantly contributed to the merchandise and accessories division through innovative strategies and customer-centric solutions. 

With an MBA specializing in Product Marketing from Foster, Mehak aims to apply her blend of creative and analytical talents to the consumer technology field. In her current role at FMA, she is dedicated to fostering dynamic marketing communications and serving as a vital link between FMA and the student community at Foster. 

RABEEA AYESHA 

VP of Alumni Affairs

Rabeea was born in Pakistan and moved to Seattle in 2016. After her undergrad in business, she worked in finance and marketing roles for CPG and the non-profit sector. Post-MBA, Rabeea wants to continue in marketing and brand management roles for tech and CPG. Outside of school, she loves spending time with her family and two adorable daughters and is very active in community building and volunteering. 

HIEN NGUYEN 

VP of Academic and Career Development

As the VP of Academic & Career Development, Hien brings extensive experience in Sales & Marketing within the e-commerce industry. Hien has driven global e-commerce sales growth by leveraging a strong grasp of marketing fundamentals such as product and brand development, as well as creating pricing and promotional strategies. 

Post-MBA, Hien aims to apply her marketing and technology background in a more technical industry, continuing her marketing journey to connect technology products with target customers. She is pursuing this goal by embarking on a summer internship in Product Marketing at Microsoft. 

PARAG AMRUTKAR 

VP of Operations

Parag has 4 years of experience in the consulting industry, where he worked with retail clients to build their e-commerce channels. After his graduation, he aims to transition into either a product management or product marketing role, ideally in the tech sector. Through his role as VP of Operations on the FMA board, Parag wants to leverage his experience and passion in community building to organize fun, engaging, and impactful FMA events that will foster networking, knowledge sharing, and personal growth.

Vanshika Kaushik 

VP of Evening Engagement

Vanshika Kaushik has been appointed Vice President of Evening Affairs at the Foster Marketing Club, where she brings her extensive experience in digital marketing and strategic development. She excels in developing impactful marketing strategies and enhancing brand recognition. Vanshika's leadership and initiative have led to increased engagement and client pipeline in her past professional roles, which makes her an ideal candidate to enrich the club's activities and improve connectivity among members. Case and Interview Prep with an FMA Board Member

The FMA board provides 1:1 coaching for FMA members who wish to practice case and mock interviews. We also provide feedback on cover letters and resumes. Signing up for the FMA provides access to the online scheduling tool through which members can book slots with coaches and board members.
