Mission
The Foster MBA Women in Business Alumnae/Alumni Association (the Association) aims to sustainably grow the Foster Women in Business network beyond the current student organization and beyond Seattle to champion women in business.
Goals
The Foster WiB Alumnae/Alumni Association has two main goals:
To reach gender parity in the Foster MBA Full-Time and Evening programs.
To develop, grow, and strengthen the network of Foster MBA Full-Time and Evening alumnae and alumni.
The Association aims to support women throughout their MBA journey by focusing on three distinct phases:
1) Prospective and Admitted Students
Provide financial support in the form of a scholarship to top women-identifying candidates accepted to the Foster School of Business MBA Full-Time and Evening programs.
Offer post-MBA perspective through one-on-one conversations and at events such as Welcome Weekend.
2) Current Students
Create a network of alumnae/alumni to participate as speakers or panelists at club events and panels.
Support the current WiB leadership to put on the WiB Gala, including extending invitations to alumnae/alumni and providing monetary assistance at a level determined by the AAB.
3) Alumnae/Alumni
Generate opportunities to stay involved in the Foster MBA community through networking events and happy hours.
Create opportunities to mentor and provide guidance to current and prospective students through participating in club programming and/or offering one-on-one conversations with prospective and admitted students.
